CBD FAQ
If you are new to CBD, we recommend starting with a lower strength Tincture or vape e-liquid. 300-550mg is a good place to start.
If you want a higher strength product, a lot of customers are having luck with the 1000mg Tincture, vape e-liquid, and the Proprietary Hemp Concentrate – Green Label.
CBD stands for Cannabidiol, which is 1 of over 113 chemicals found in Hemp and Cannabis plants.
Our bodies contain an important biological system called the Endocannabinoid System, which is designed to react directly with CBD and other cannabis compounds. This system contains Endocannabinoids, which are receptors found in the brain, organs, connective tissue, immune cells and are responsible for immune system function, appetite, pain sensation and much much more. Click here for an in-depth explanation of the Endocannabinoid System.
No. CBD alone will not get you high. THC is the compound responsible for having psychoactive properties, which result in that “Stoned Feeling”. Legal CBD Oil (like the ones on our website) only contain small traces of THC (less than 0.3%). If you have any concerns about THC, we also carry 100% THC-Free CBD Oil, here.
CBD can legally be sold in all 50 States as long as it is Hemp derived and contains less than 0.3% THC. If you want more THC, we recommend going to a dispensary.
Since CBD is not FDA approved, we are not allowed to claim that it will “diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease”. But we suggest doing your research and discovering the benefits on your own.
We know it’s easy to confuse the two! Hemp Oil (or Hemp Seed Oil) is extracted from the seeds of Hemp. Whereas CBD is extracted from the leaves, stalks and flowers of Hemp. Hemp Seed Oil definitely has its health benefits, but it does not harbor the same benefits as CBD. To make it worse, many online sellers falsely claim that their products “Contain CBD”. For example: Amazon does not allow the sale of CBD on their website, but it does allow the sale of Hemp Seed Oil. Some “Hemp Seed Oil” sellers will claim the same benefits as CBD, which is highly misleading. We also recommend only purchasing CBD that has a Certificate of Analysis (COA). This will ensure you are getting the right stuff. If you are in doubt of a product you see online, send us a link and we will do the research for you.
To put it simply… CBD is CBD. The primary difference between Marijuana and Hemp is the ratio of CBD to THC. Marijuana typically contains a larger ratio of THC to CBD, whereas Hemp contains only a small percentage of THC (less than 0.3% THC).
Everyone reacts to CBD differently, so we recommend experimenting with different strengths to see what happens. On a personal note: I started with the 550mg Genesis Vape E-Liquid and that worked great for sleep, headaches, nausea and anxiety! If you prefer a tincture, we recommend the 550mg Genesis Tincture.
